Overview

AuditFile's trialbalance functionality is fully integrated with Xero! Now you can pull trialbalances directly from Xero. There's no need to deal with spreadsheet exports anymore.



Data Flow Diagram


The flow of data is very simple. Basically, when you import a trialbalance from Xero, AuditFile will pull each account's account number, account name, account balance, and optionally the prior year balance. After the import is complete, a hyperlink will appear on the leadsheets. This hyperlink will take you to Xero's Account Summary Report and allow you to see account details.



Getting Started

On the trial balance upload screen, click on the blue "Connect to Xero" button.


Follow the authorization instructions, select the "as of date" and whether you want to import prior year balances. See the image below.

Click "Import" and you're done!



Viewing Account Details


To view account details from a leadsheet, just click on the PBC Balance. This hyperlink will take you to Xero's Account Summary Page.

After Xero opens in a new window, you call see a summary of that account. You can see all transactions that are reflected in the balance!



Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I disconnect from Xero?
Your connection automatically ends after 30 minutes. If you want to disconnect before that, log into Xero at https://login.xero.com. Click on the "Settings" tab, and then click on "General Settings". This will take you to "General Settings" page. Under the "Connect" section, click on "Add-ons". On this page you will have the option to disconnect AuditFile.

What doesn’t your integration do?
Anything other than pull the trial balance and link to individual accounts :-)

When and how does data sync occur? Is it manual, automatic, on login, in real-time? Are there any settings related to synchronizing?
It occurs only when you pull a trial balance. It is manual. There are no settings to configure related to synchronizing.
